The Citizone Simple Search:
When should I use it?
This search is powerful if you are looking for information across a wide range of organisations. A list of the organisations included can be found on the Partner Links Page. If you want to restrict your search to a single organisation or type of organisation you should use the Advanced Search.
Where is it?
The simple search is located at the top right of every page in Citizone.
How do I use it?
You can enter a key phrase or word here and we will search through a wide range of Bedfordshire local government websites to bring you the most relevant information based on your requirements.
The Citizone Advanced Search:
When should I use it?This search is powerful if you are looking to find information against a specific organisation or are looking to restrict the words or phrases you are searching for in some way.
Where is it?
The advanced search can be accessed via one of the tabs at the top of each page in Citizone – Adv. Search.
How do I use it?
You can enter information here as a phrase or keyword to be included or excluded in the results. You can search for information against a selected type of organisation, a specific organisation and/or file type (you can mix the selections in these boxes to narrow down a search or leave then as ‘Any’ to widen a search). For example, if you only want to view a single organisation and only want to see the web pages (and exclude attached documents) from your search, you should select the organisation in the Specific Organisation list and select 'HTML' from the File Type list.
The Citizone A to Z
When should I use it? This is useful when you know the service description e.g. Adoption, Electoral services, Markets or Waste Collections.
Where is it? The A to Z can be found at the top left of each page, except the Advanced Search page where it can be found across the top of the page.
How do I use it?
Click on a letter and a list will appear of all service descriptions starting with that letter. Select an item in the list to view results. If the service is provided by more than a district/borough council, you will be presented with a list of results from all organisations who have information. If it is a service only provided by a district/borough you will be given an option to select which organisations details will be displayed.
